Attendance

“Parents and carers have a legal duty to ensure that their children of compulsory school age receive a
suitable full-time education. It is also vital that they encourage their child’s regular and punctual attendance
at school. If a child is registered at a school then it is vital that they attend on a regular basis”.  Department of Education

Attend today Achieve Tomorrow

Improving attendance is everyone’s business.

Our whole school attendance target for the year is 94.5%, recent research shows there is a positive correlation between attendance and achievement.

Student attendance is celebrated in Monday and Friday assemblies as well as termly attendance rewards and postcards. Students who improve attendance across the term are also celebrated.

Students and parents/carers who require guidance with attendance are supported by assistant head teacher, MAKW and where necessary the local authority attendance team.
