Parent View gives you the chance to tell Ofsted your opinions of Epinay Business and Enterprise School.

As a parent of a pupil at Epinay School this is a valuable tool. Parent View asks for your opinion on aspects of your child’s school, from the quality of teaching, to dealing with bullying and poor behaviour. We will use the information you provide when making decisions about which schools to inspect, and when.

Parent View survey (up to April 2023) 43 responses were recorded. The findings from the survey showed that:

My child is happy at this school. 91% Strongly agree, 9% Agree, 0% Disagree, 0% Strongly disagree, 3% Don’t Know.
My child feels safe at this school. 95% Strongly agree, 5% Agree, 0% Disagree, 0% Strongly disagree, 0% Don’t know.
The school makes sure its pupils are well behaved. 81% Strongly agree, 14% Agree, 0% Disagree, 0% Strongly disagree, 5% Don’t Know.
My child has been bullied and the school dealt with the bullying quickly and effectively. 79% of parents/carers stated that ”My child has not been bullied”, 16% Strongly agree, 0% Disagree, 0% Strongly Disagree, 5% Don’t know.

Further actions to work with parents/carers include:

Make parents aware of what the school does in relation to anti-bullying policy.
Put in place an action plan in relation to return to school after Covid.
Parents and carers to be made aware of Mental health Champions and help available regarding any anxieties which they or their children have.
Parents to be informed of the new Curriculum Enrichment to be offered in the next academic year.
Parents to be informed of new school prospectus giving enhanced information on the school for new potential parents and students.
Parent Volunteers requested for reading practice to build upon our existing programme.
To develop further parent volunteer links by sending out letters and following up contacts made.
To continue Foundation of Light family learning programmes.

My daughter loved her first year in Epinay. Making loads of new friends and getting two Head Teacher awards, as well as helping raise funds for the school. She also loved Flamingoland and starting in the choir, her favourite lesson is cooking.

Billy from Relationship Works has really helped me with my anger issues. I do still get angry but the sessions with Billy really helped me understand and use techniques to help calm myself.

Epinay School is outstanding, when my daughter started there 3 years ago she lacked in all subjects since then she thrives in all she does, loves school, always smiling and happy nothing fazes her best thing i ever done was letting lily go to this school, the new school is amazing best move ever, and the teachers go above and beyond for all pupils.

Epinay School has been our journey into school and what a fantastic opportunity it has been for my son. The school are so welcoming, children are all so happy and cared for and the parent’s supported however they can. Whenever you have a question the school (and especially Phase 1 staff) couldn’t be more helpful. Due to this school my son has grown in confidence, achieved things I never thought would be possible and has been welcomed into what can only be described as a family not a school.

Epinay has been the best thing for our son, he used to find it extremely difficult to socialise correctly with his peer’s in mainstream schooling and learning he was extremely behind, since our son has gone to Epinay he has grown each year. The school has amazing staff! From the very top to the bottom, all of the staff are amazing. We regularly see staff when out and about and every single one of them recognise our son, say hello and stop for a conversation (which is heartwarming). The school have always been supporting of us and our son whether in school or out of school, our son is now within the life skill hub and it has been amazing for him, his current and also previous teachers have been extremely supportive for myself and my husband we’ve had tears and smiles through the years and they have been amazing, I regularly (daily) speak to our son's teacher, we couldn’t ask for anything better from themselves.
